{Really this is Day 5 and 6 since we drove down on Friday evening to St George. :-)}
We headed out around 11 am to perform baptisms at the St George Temple with the Kemp Family. We had a long wait in the Temple since it was so busy. What a wonderful thing to wait for. The Kemp’s had family names to do and that was wonderful! We showed them the pecans at the Temple and collected a few more before heading back to the condo for more swimming, pool, ping pong and horseshoes.
PIONEER DAY
We drove over to Washington City for the parade. Abi was walking in the parade so we sat with the Kemp family. We were so excited so see Captain Moroni and the Stripling Warriors as well as one of our Apostles, Elder Holland!
After the parade we headed over to a 10am showing of TURBO! The whole theater to ourselves. FUN!!!
After the movie we stopped by Wendy’s for lunch then off to the Joseph Hamblin Farm in Santa Clara. The perfect thing to do on Pioneer Day! Then back to the condo after a quick drive to look out point then more swimming and fun! To end the day we drove back out to Washington City for fireworks. We ended up sitting on the lower ball diamond which was directly under where the fireworks were. We were in fall out zone! So exciting and a little scary when flaming pieces started falling on us. BEAUTIFUL fireworks!
