Opportunity Knocked and we JUMPED

I was feeling change was coming but I didn’t know just how big or small it would be!

Just Wednesday afternoon we found out that the house just across the alley was available after the financing fell through for the buyers. The price is right and if all goes well we will sell our house for enough to finish the basement of the new house and keep the same mortgage payment.  What a crazy couple days. 

We signed papers yesterday afternoon to buy and sell and the sign just was placed in the yard just moments ago.  What a blessing this is!  We looked at this house (one of the 3 model homes in our neighborhood) almost 15 years ago and desperately wished we could afford it. At the time we were still just kids being married just 3 years with a 6 month old and not a lot of money. We were thrilled to have qualified for a home at all.  We have put lots of love into making our current house a home and will have a lot to do to clean up and repair this house and finish the basement but in time it will become a beautiful home just like our current one.

Now to sell our house so we won’t have to make double payments.  We have a lot of work to do to clean up the house and we will be finishing the basement but we will add a lot more square footage once the basement is done.  January 21st is the date to close on the other house.  Hopefully our house sells quickly and for asking price.  We could use your prayers.
