We had the most beautiful huge snowflakes falling yesterday. A beautiful white Christmas! We have been blessed with a very spiritual Christmas Eve this year. We have really focused on the Savior and giving rather than receiving and it has made a huge difference. We make brownies, crated shrinky dink ornaments, put on our new pajamas, listened to Wiskey Bear read by my Dad that passed away 6 years ago) , listened to The Forgotten Carols and read the REAL Christmas Story in the Bible. Afterward Dan began a beautiful testimony sharing. The Holy Ghost was there so strongly and we know we had visitors from beyond the veil with us. Several tears were shed. What an awesome experience to have as a family. We have never had such a spiritual experience as a family before now. What a beautiful Christmas Blessing, the best gift our family could receive.
Afterward when everyone was sent to bed, Jaimee was our little elf and helped fill the stockings. She did a great job and thought it was so fun!
Christmas morning came way too early. Laura was restless and woke several times. I think I got 3 hours total sleep. At 5:35am I gave in and allowed everyone to come get their stockings and gifts. The girls had been up since 4am. Santa didn’t wrap any gifts. With moving we were just too tired from de-junking to wrap. It was wonderful. About half of our gifts were from a local yard sale site or DI thrift store which saved a lot of money and allowed the kids to receive everything they wanted. Several were even free. The rest was bought on clearance. What a beautiful Christmas morning. Everyone was happy and we spent so little compared to other years. We are very blessed.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
CHRIST is the reason for the season!
